The Student Seminar is a five-day international event for sport management students, taking place in Thessaloniki Greece, from September 12 to September 15 2026, just before the EASM Conference 2026 (15-18th of September). The seminar fee also includes participation in the main conference.
Target Audience and Focus
This seminar is designed to enhance practical managerial skills in an international environment. Participants will engage in activities such as lectures, case studies, and a management game. The program also includes field trips and social events. With the EASM Conference 2026 hosting leading experts and researchers, attendees will have excellent networking opportunities to build professional connections.
The theme of the seminar is, “Sport Tourism - Organizing an outdoor running event,” with a specific focus on: 1) operations management, 2) participants’ experience, 3) marketing, 4) volunteers management, and 5) sustainability. Discussions will explore new trends, challenges and opportunities in these areas and their impact on sport tourism.

Price
Student Fee: €700
This fee covers accommodation, meals, seminar activities, and conference attendance. Accommodation is provided in a hotel, which will be in the center of the city.
Student Seminar Tutors Fee: 1.090 Euros. Maximum 8 tutors.
Cultural Activities
Part of the educational program of the seminar, the participants will experience a variety of cultural and sporting activities: A) Hiking on the unique Mount Olympus, B) visiting the ancient city of Olynthus, and C) doing water sports activities in one of the beautiful beaches of Chalkidiki. D) experiencing traditional Greek gastronomy and music.

Applicants must submit a motivational letter (300 words) including a brief self-introduction, their contribution to the seminar, and their expectations.

– A maximum of 50 participants will be selected.
– Up to five students per university can join, with first-time attendees given priority.
– Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis to ensure diversity.
Selection Process
Notification of Acceptance: May 31st, 2026.
Registration Deadline: June 14, 2026 (23:59 CET) via Conftool. Late registrations will not be accepted, and spots will be offered to waitlisted students.
